Heart’s Labyrinth I

After a period of time every creative person will probably feel
the necessity to find new ways of working, new methods
which are different from the ones used so far, to revitalize
the creative process.

I feel the need to allow myself to venture onto insecure
grounds which I do not yet know.

This is one of the reasons why I have started a series of
short ‘’chamber works’’ entitled Heart's Labyrinth'.

There are overwhelming experiences, however, which can
completely change a person’s life and have a decisive
influence on any creative output.

A self-inflicted death of someone who has been close to
you, is something which leaves a big shadow on the ones
who remain. It influences their lives in many different ways.
Beside the feeling of emptiness, of the irreversibility of this
act and the deepest sorrow, I have felt the need and urge
to examine closer what is happening in my soul and how it
relates to my private and professional responsibilities.

I have let my feelings pour out just the way they came and
together with the dancers who have experienced this
tragedy, we have created a visualization of what was on
our minds and in our hearts. This was my first step in the
process of acceptance and understanding of the death of
Karen Tims.
