On Mathematics

The moment I was born - I have received a life sentence!
Should I be born again - I would wish to be a mathematician.
Mathematics embraces everything:
The most abstract and the most dramatic. 
It is the only science, which understands infinity,
pointing towards the past or the future... It is limitless...
I do not understand it at all - and I understand it totally.
I praise the discovery of "Zero".
It should represent "nothing", but there is no such thing as 
"nothing", for me - the very fact, that someone thought of 
creating the number "Zero", is so very essential for me and 
it moves me deeply. It gives me hope...
